Virgin Media has announced that UKTV’s popular Drama channel is now available for Virgin TV viewers.
Hopping over to channel 190 will give Virgin TV viewers access to some of the best of British drama including Call the Midwife, Sharpe, Lark Rise to Candleford and Pride and Prejudice.
While Virgin TV viewers can grab a piece of the action from their sofas, Drama will be winging its way to Virgin TV Anywhere, Virgin Media’s catch-up service, so you can watch wherever there’s an internet connection on your desktop, laptop or iPad.
Drama is also not yet available via Virgin Media catch-up TV but we understand that this could change soon.
Nick Forward, Virgin Media’s TV product director said: “Drama is packed with iconic shows that really captured the imagination of the British public so we’re excited to bring this great new channel into the homes of our TV customers and onto Virgin TV Anywhere. Whether it’s Mr. Darcy emerging from the water or Jonathan Creek solving his latest mystery, there’s always an thrilling moment to catch on Drama that’s well worth tuning in for.”
To celebrate the launch of Drama, which debuted on Freeview on July 8, UKTV arranged for a 12-foot model of Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy to be constructed (pictured above) and dunked in various lakes, beaches and bodies of water across the UK. The likeness is striking.
