Nokia announce the Asha 202, 203, and 302

Nokia may have gone all in with Windows Phone, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some ultra budget devices left to push out. This morning at MWC they unveiled three new Asha handsets, once again aimed at the budget end of the market, especially targeting developing nations.

First up is the Asha 202 and 203, melding 2.4-inch touchscreens with traditional keypads. Both will also have a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, and music player, although the 202 will be unique in that it supports dual SIMs. Both will also handle memory cards up to 32GB. Price is said to be around 60 EUR, and both are expected in Q2.

Then there’s the Asha 302, a little pricier at 95 EUR, but also packing a bit more horsepower. It comes with a 1Ghz processor under the hood, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard. That means you’ll be able to get your Whatsapp on with relative ease. A feature unique to the 302 is the Exchange email support, a first for a Series 40 phone. That, combined with the keyboard and affordable price, means that Nokia are hoping to target young, aspiring businessmen and women who may not want to shell out for a BlackBerry. The Asha 302 is available right now.
