Only a few hours away from their big Mobile World Congress press event this evening, Korean electronics giant Samsung, have let slip the main details of the hotly anticipated Galaxy S ‘sequel’ and their next tablet.
Replete with those token smiling girls, the Samsung Galaxy S II is borrowing its looks from its older sister; there’s a super vibrant Super AMOLED WVGA display, framed in black, but now all slimmed to a mere (and specific) 8.49mm.
The Galaxy S II should be available in two sizes, 16 and 32GB, which should mean plenty of space for any photos or videos recorded on the eight-megapixel camera, capable of HD video.
Samsung’s new tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will have a 1280×800 resolution beamed out from a 10.1-inch touch-screen.
Like the Galaxy S II, an eight-megapixel camera will face out from the back of the tablet, and according to the latest pictures, there looks like there’ll be a second camera front-facing for all your video-calling needs.
It’ll all be running the latest version of Android, Honeycomb (3.0), the first version developed especially for tablet, there’s a dual-core 1GHz processors to make sure your video streaming and gaming is as smooth as possible.
We`re looking forward to having a longer play on Honeycomb while in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress, the first event here being Samsung’s big press show- under two hours away now, though whether they’ll have anything left to surprise us with, we’ll have to wait and see. More details later tonight.
