Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 and DB9 Carbon revealed

Not one but two special edition Aston Martins will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.

Aston Martin has announced two special edition models. The V8 Vantage N430 and the DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March as part of a celebration of 101 years of production.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 comes in Coupe and Roadster form. It has the same engine as the standard V8 Vantage, but power has been increased to 436PS (430bhp) to match the V8 Vantage S. The benefit is a 0 to 60mph time of 4.6 seconds (0.1 second improvement) and a top speed of 190mph.

Gear changes are taken care of by a six-speed manual. A seven-speed Sportshift II can be specified if you prefer the car to do all the work. The V8 Vantage N430 also benefits from a ‘rousing’ sports exhaust, improved aerodynamics and bigger brakes.

Part of the improved performance comes from 20kg of weight saving, which is achieved by the use of ten-spoke forged alloy wheels and seats made from carbon fibre and kevlar.

Aston Martin has tweaked the V8 Vantage N430’s styling. It has a new black front grille, tailpipe finishers, clear rear lamps and headlight bezels. On the inside are carbon fibre plaques, N430 logos and leather with contrasting stitching.

The Aston Martin DB9 Carbon editions have the same 6.0-litre V12 engine capable of producing 510bhp. As the name suggests, carbon fibre and a black or white paintjob provide a unique albeit familiar look. Not the lengthiest list of changes, admittedly.

An Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 will set you back £89,995. Deliveries are expected in September. The DB9 Carbon Black and DB9 Carbon White price is given on application.
