Zombie apocalypse movies would be a very different story if those involved had access to the highly modified Maybach Exelero. This monstrous concept by Khaled Alkayed makes the Batmobile look like a shopping trolley.
The Jordan-based 3D artist has clearly spent a great deal of time and effort in making sure his Maybach Exelero is perfect for mowing down hordes of undead, be that with its over-engineered front bumper, dual rear machine guns or rocket launcher. Yes, it has a rocket launcher. Take that, Bruce Wayne.
There is enough armour plating to ensure any zombies that somehow manage to get through a hail of bullets and missiles will only be able to claw helplessly at the window.
At the back are tank tracks for when tackling terrain that would otherwise leave you stranded. Getting surrounded by the now animated, decaying remnants of your friends and family never ends well, after all.
If the hordes of undead prove too much effort (or you run out of bullets), there’s always the option of retreating. The 2005 Maybach Exelero V12 twin-turbo engine pumps out a ridiculous 700hp. Take off all the deadly optional extras and 0 to 62mph would take 4.4 seconds. With them on, think four hours.
We are going to relegate this purchase to our ‘non-essential’ list until zombies become real, but there’s no disputing how utterly bonkers it looks. You would have to give this purveyor of death a second glance, even if your brain is oozing out of your ear.
