Two new Jaguars XK models take luxury and performance up a notch.
Jaguar has unveiled two new XK models that take the Coupe and Convertible forms to new levels of performance and luxury. Behold the XK Signature and XK Dynamic R, both of which are available now from your nearest Jaguar dealer.
The XK Dynamic R is based on the already crazy-fast XKR model, but now comes with the Black Dynamic Pack as standard, which includes XKR-S suspension and a 10mm drop in ride height. It also includes ‘Aerodynamic upgrades’ (bigger rear spoiler and front splitter), an active exhaust, 20-inch Vortex alloys and a ‘Diamond Sewn Performance seat’.
The Dynamic R uses the same 5.0-litre supercharged V8 as the XKR. That means power is a whopping 503bhp and 0 to 62mph takes 4.6 seconds. The top speed has been raised to 174mph. CO2 emissions are reasonable at 292g/km considering the sheer performance on offer. Cornering traction is said to be improved, thanks to the addition of Active Differential Control.
Those who crave luxury will find solace in the XK Signature model. It comes with 20-inch Kalimnos wheels, reverse park camera and a cockpit comprised of luxury leather trim, canvas suede headlining, wood and polished metal.
Power for the XK Signature comes in the form of a 380bhp 5.0-litre V8. This allows the Coupe to sprint from 0 to 62mph in 5.2 seconds on to a limited top speed of 155mph. C02 emissions come in at 264g/km.
Both models make use of double wishbone suspension and a new steering knuckle. Jaguar says the combination of the two allows ‘greater levels of connection, feedback and precision’.
Both cars also have the option of a pricier set of alloys. 20-inch Takoba alloy wheels can be specified on the XK Signature, while the XK Dynamic R has the option of 20-inch Vulcan Gloss Black lightweight alloys.
The XK Signature and Dynamic R will set you back from £54,950 and £69,950, respectively.
