Get your diary out folks, and draw a big, fat, red ring around 26th March 2013. That’s the date on which Land Rover will unveil its all-new Range Rover Sport to the world.
Refreshingly, the company plans to ditch the usual launch cliché of holding a cocktail reception and having hot models lift a black cloth off its new creation. Instead, it plans to drive the car through the streets of Manhattan for New Yorkers to see up close and personal on the eve of the 2013 New York Auto Show.
For those of us not fortunate enough to be walking the streets of NY on 26th March, Land Rover will be live streaming the event via the dedicated a dedicatedmicrosite at 19:30 Eastern Daylight Time.
Why would an Indian-owned British company choose the Unitd States of America to launch its sportiest model ever? Apparently it’s all down to the fact that New York City is the Range Rover Sport’s largest market. Not only are more Sports sold in New York than any other metropolitan area in the world, the Sport is also the best selling Land Rover product in all of North America.
