Range Rover Hybrid review video and off-road test

Looking for a Range Rover Hybrid video review and road test? Well look no further. Actually you can look a little further – slightly below this bit of text to the embedded video player where such a marvel awaits.

We took the Range Rover Hybrid on a mammoth road trip across Europe to discover whether this part-electric, part-diesel powerhouse lives up to the reputation set by its forebears. Can it still off-road? Is it fuel-efficient? Will you get electrocuted if you drive it through a river? We discover the answers to all these questions and more in video above.

On paper, the Range Rover Hybrid’s vital statistics are pretty impressive. It’ll do 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds and hit 135mph flat out. It’s no slouch where economy is concerned, either. Land Rover claims 44.1mpg and 169g/km, which isn’t bad for a car nudging 2.5 tonnes.

More impressive, perhaps, is the fact the Range Rover Hybrid also has an electric-only mode. Hit a button on the centre console marked ‘EV’ and it’ll cruise around in absolute silence for up to a mile at a time, provided you don’t exceed speeds in the region of 30mph.

But that’s enough with the words, already, time to get watching. Click play to see it in action for yourself and let us know what you think. When you’re done, head over to our YouTube channel and hit Subscribe.
