Skoda has announced the Superb SportLine, a more sporty version of the current Superb Estate and Hatchback models.
The Skoda Superb SportLine builds on the existing car with a range of upgrades including larger 19-inch Anthracite Vega alloy wheels, sports bumpers, sunset glass and black gloss trim for the wing mirrors, window surrounds, grille and, in the case of the hatchback, the spoiler.
It also adds a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with silver stitching, quilted Alcantara sports seats, LED ambient lighting, carbon dashboard trim, aluminium pedals and black headlining.
Standard kit on the Skoda Superb SportLine includes Bi-Xenon headlights, Columbus Navigation and WiFi, rear parking sensors, Drive Mode Select, Kessy keyless entry, cruise control, dual-zone climate control.
Not all extras are aesthetic, mind you, as Skoda has also added an XDS electronic differential and lowered the ride height by 15mm to ‘ensure sharper handling’.
Seven paintjobs are available, including an exclusive Dragon Green metallic to go with the existing Quartz Grey, Business Grey and Brilliant Silver metallics and the Black Magic pearl and Corrida Red.
Three petrol and two diesel engines will be available in SportLine flavour, including an entry-level 1.4-litre TSI wit 150PS and 116g/km of CO2 and a range-topping 2.0-litre TSI with 280PS, four-wheel drive, 0-62mph time of 5.8 seconds and 164g/km of CO2.
Prices start from £26,490 for the 1.4 TSI 150PS ACT Hatchback rising to £33,735 for the 2.0-litre TDI 190PS 4×4 DSG SCR, which outputs 135g/km of CO2. Orders begin in July 2016.
