The new Mercedes C-Class Coupe is here

Mercedes-Benz has announced UK pricing and specs for the new C-Class Coupé. It is available to order now and deliveries begin in December 2015, with prices starting from £30,955.

Four engine options are available, two of which are diesel. There’s a C 200 petrol that outputs 184hp and 123g/km of CO2 with the six-speed manual or 125g/km with the 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic.

The C 300 petrol produces a more impressive 245hp and outputs 146g/km of CO2 when mated to the aforementioned seven-speed automatic (no option of a manual here).

In terms of diesels, the 170hp C 220 d is the most eco-friendly option when paired up with either the six-speed manual or the 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic (106g/km for both). The C 250 d produces 204hp and 109g/km with only the option of the nine-speed automatic available.

Buyers will have a choice of the entry-level Sport trim level or the pricier AMG Line. The former comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, diamond grille with black-painted pins and a gloss-black interior with aluminium inlays in the doors as standard.

The latter gets black ash wood trim, an AMG flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, brushed steel sports pedals and black roof lining. External additions include an AMG bodykit, 18-inch five-spoke alloys, diamond grille with chrome pins and 15mm lowered sports suspension.

Equipment levels can be improved at the expense of your savings. There’s the Premium package, which adds a panoramic glass roof, keyless go, seats with a memory function and ambient lighting ─ all for £1,695.

Premium Plus, meanwhile, adds a Burmester surround sound system and Merc’s COMAND online infotainment system with an eight-inch display. This costs £2,995.

A Driver’s Assistance Package can also be specified for £1,695 and this adds adaptive cruise control, active blind spot and lane-keeping assist and pre-safe with pedestrian detection.

The C-Class Coupe has a sportier side to it, thanks to the £61,160 Mercedes-AMG C 63 and its 4.0-litre biturbo V8 capable of 0-62mph in four seconds.

Meanwhile the £66,910 S variant takes power from 476 to 510hp and torque from 650 to 700Nm and in doing so the 0-62mph sprint drops by a tenth of a second.

Mercedes also announced there will be a £76,900 C 63 S Edition 1 special edition model available for early orders. It adds diamond-stitched nappa leather upholstery with contrast yellow stitching, carbon fibre interior trim, graphite AMG decals on the bonnet roof and sides, bespoke alloy wheels and an AMG aerodynamic package.

The motorsport C 63 S Edition 1 package is another £3,000 and comes with yellow AMG decals, designo selenite grey magno paint, a AMG ceramic composite braking system and exclusive 19-inch and 20-inch alloys with yellow detailing.
