VW update Up with Groove Up and Rock Up

You now have even more excuses to make an Up yours, as Volkswagen’s added a pair of new special edition versions to its burgeoning line of Up citicars. Joinging the Take Up, Move up, High Up, Up White and Up Black, will be the Groove Up and Rock Up. You may now scroll down.

The Groove Up is designed for those who like to turn their volume up. It comes with a ‘pumping’ Fender sound system that includes six speakers and a subwoofer, all of which are driven by a 300-watt amplifier. The Groove Up also comes as standard with VW’s Maps & More satnav entertainment system and Bluetooth to let you stream audio from your phone to the speakers.

The Groove up, which is available in three- or five-door guises, also comes with dark tinted glass, 16-inch Upsilon alloy wheels, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake (with orange stitching), gloss black wing mirror caps and bespoke heated black seats with orange edging.

The Rock Up, meanwhile, doesn’t come with the Fender sound system – it’s more about looks than sound. The car, available only as a 3-door, comes fitted with a stripe running over the bonnet and roof and is fitted with a full bodykit consisting of a front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler all finished in gloss black. The wing mirror caps get a gloss black treatment, too, unless you order black paintwork, in which case they’re switched out for chrome.

The Groove Up is three-door costs £11,640 while the five-door car will set you back £12,015. The Rock Up goes for £12,980. Both are available to buy now with first deliveries due in July.
