Watch the Koenigsegg One:1 hit 300kmh in 11 seconds

Want to see a Koenigsegg One:1 hypercar smash a world record? Well you’re in the right place.

If you’re anything like us, you’ll have stared at the Koenigsegg One:1 and pondered over exactly how fast it is. Today, our prayers have been answered, as the un-spellable supercar company has issued a video showing just how rapid its latest hypermobile is in a straight line.

The footage shows a test driver warming up the tyres with a couple of donuts (he might just be showing off, we’re not sure) before launching into a mind-bending acceleration run. In it, the car manages 0-300kmh (186.4mph) and back to 0mph again in 17.95 seconds.

The most astonishing thing is just how calm the test driver remained throughout the whole episode. He didn’t even have his hands on the steering wheel for most of the run.

Broken down, the numbers are as follows: 0-300kmh in 11.92 seconds and 300-0kmh in 6.03 seconds. A separate run saw the One:1 smash the 200mph barrier in 14.3 seconds, before stopping in 6.384 seconds.

How does the One:1’s run compare to its peers? Well it absolutely annihilates the Koenigsegg Agera R’s 21.19-second 0-300-0kmh run back in 2011, a Guinness World Record at the time, and we’ve yet to see a car that gets anywhere near that.

Do yourself a favour and watch this thing in action for yourself.
