BT Sport 1 will be available on Freeview for free for two weeks in October.
On the weeks beginning October 7 and October 14, the channel will be available to watch for free on Freeview channel 57.
Any customer with a digital terrestrial TV service ought to be able to pick this channel up, meaning YouView customers, including TalkTalk TV customers, ought to be able to get it to.

On top of this, Freeview viewers along with Sky, Virgin Media and BT TV customers who aren’t already subscribing to BT Sport will get the channel free across on the weekend beginning October 26.
Live Premier League football games broadcast over that weekends include Crystal Palace vs Arsenal. Live Aviva Premiership rugby includes Bath vs Gloucester, Northampton vs Saracens and Wasps vs Leicester.
BT currently has no plans to launch BT Sport on Freeview full time, but it’s keen on enticing viewers to sign up for either BT Vision or BT YouView. Both of these TV platforms come with the same digital terrestrial channels you’d get on Freeview, plus a range of extra channels, including BT Sport delivered over your broadband connection.
Sky TV customers can subscribe directly to BT Sport through their Sky+HD box or get the standard definition channels free if they switch to BT Broadband.
Virgin Media customers can also subscribe to BT Sport (in HD only), with Virgin TV XL customers getting the shows for free.
