BT Sport launches Premier League ‘Fan Creche’ in East London

BT Sport has made its sports broadcasting available to everyone – even Sky customers – by opening up a Fan Creche in Stratford.

The area in the Westfield shopping centre will be open seven days a week, between 2pm and 10pm Monday to Friday and from 10am at weekends, allowing around 100 sports fans to sample BT Sport, for free.

In addition to showing the latest action from BT Sport, those visiting the creche will be able to use free BT Infinity broadband, other BT TV channels and make free calls.

The BT Sports line-up includes BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN and will of course be showing live Barclays Premier League every Saturday in addition to selected  Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, France’s Ligue 1, UFC, live women’s tennis matches.

Myf Ryan, Westfield’s director of Marketing for the UK & Europe, said: “We are delighted to welcome The BT Sport ’Fan Crèche‘ to Westfield Stratford City, one of London’s key leisure and entertainment destinations and Gateway to the Queen Elizabeth Park.

“This will run during our current ‘We Are LDN Summer’ campaign, which has already seen thousands of shoppers get involved in engaging experiential activity. We have no doubt this will be a huge success.”

BT Sport’s second season got off to an aggressive start this weekend when BT announced it was planning on bidding to take the Premier League match top-spots from Sky in the next bidding war that is due to open at the end of this season.
