Chromecast owners can blag three months of free Now TV

Google is currently giving away three months access to Now TV Entertainment to Chromecast owners.

From now until the end of February, Chromecast owners can cash in on a £20-odd saving – setting you up nicely to catch up on Game of Thrones before the next season kicks off

Now TV’s Entertainment Passes, currently priced at £6.99/month, give you access to content from Sky channels including Sky One, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living and Sky Arts. Available to anyone with an Internet connection, Now TV is aimed at customers who want Sky content but can’t get a dish installed on their premises, or don’t want to sign up for a TV show.

Now TV has been available via Chromecast as of September of last year, allowing non-Sky customers to access Sky on-demand services for a fraction of the cost of a full subscription.

The service also allows subscribers to purchase additional bolt-ons to give them access to premium channels such as Sky Sports and BT Sport and being able to watch every broadcast Premier League game is quite the selling point

There are plenty of deals floating around that offer up Now TV as a perk, including Vodafone’s insanely good promo which gives users subscriptions to Now TV for the entire duration of their Red 4G contract when they sign up to a new plan. This essentially lets you get up to 24 months of Now TV for free.

It’s worth noting that, despite Google’s offer being totally free, you’ll still need to enter valid payment details to activate the code and if you don’t cancel the subscription before the freebie ends, you’ll be charged for a full month. Pro tip: set yourself a reminder on your phone if you don’t want to be stung for fees.
