Hyperoptic launches rolling monthly ‘no contract’ gigabit fibre broadband

Hyperoptic is now offering its bleeding-edge fibre broadband services on a rolling per-month contract-free basis.

Customers who don’t want to be tied down to a lengthy 12 or 18 month commitment can now tailor a package to suit them by paying for a month at a time.

All three of the pure fibre provider’s packages can be signed up for 30 days at a time, letting you get unlimited 20Mbps, 100Mbps and 1Gbps (1,000Mbps) with or without a phone line.

All of Hyperoptic’s no contract offers require you to cough up a one-off payment of £40, which includes a gigabit router. Here’s how the costs break down.

“At some point everyone will be on a fibre connection” – Hyperoptic MD Dana Tobak

Dana Tobak, managing director for Hyperoptic, said: “At Hyperoptic we are proud to be different, as well as the fastest. We were the first broadband company in the UK to offer consumers gigabit connectivity by using our own, dedicated network – over 135 times faster than traditional ASDL services.

“Now, by offering consumers a ‘no contract’ option, we are giving people what they want and need: the UK’s fastest most consistent broadband with complete flexibility.”

Hyperoptic’s network covers over 100,000 premises spread across 12 UK cities. While Hyperoptic specialises in supplying large apartment blocks and new build estates (‘multi-dwelling units’ in industry-parlance) it plans future moves by assessing customer demand.

Hyperoptic doesn’t exclusively supply shiny new developments with its services though. It’s recently connected a number of houseboasts moored in London’s South Dock – so if you like the idea of 1,000Mbps download and upload speeds, register your interest.

Alnernatively, if you fancy getting free gigabit broadband for a year, you can apply to become a Hyperoptic Champion

As well as contract-free services, Hyperoptic’s long-term deals offer some savings for folks who don’t require such flexibility. Here’s how the new no-contract offers compare price-wise.
