Lovefilm Instant update brings wishlists to Xbox 360 app

Lovefilm is rolling out an update to its Xbox 360 app, bringing a wishlist feature, improved search and recommendations.

Lovefilm’s ‘Watchlist’ feature lets you quickly compile a playlist of movies and TV episodes by selecting titles and clicking ‘Add to Watchlist’ for later viewing. This is ideal for lengthy sessions should you want to blitz through Vikings, Buffy or Dexter in one fell swoop or queue up a series of films for a horror marathon/girl’s night in, or whatever you want.

As well as this, the improved search and recommendations will make it even easier to flick through the Lovefilm library and find your favourite titles.

“The improved search engine, user interface and other improvements make discovering new content easier than ever before, whilst the addition of popular features such as the Watchlist allow members to plan their viewing around their busy schedules.”

The Xbox 360 is the latest device to benefit from improvements to Lovefilm Instant. Earlier this year we saw a similar update arriving for PS3 owners. Eventually, all devices that support Lovefilm Instant will benefit from the same search and Watchlist features, meaning you’ll be able to easily queue up playlists on your phone and blast through everything when you get home.

Lovefilm Instant is currently available on Windows and Mac, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Wii U, iOS, Android (Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD only) and selected LG, Samsung and Sony smart TVs.
