TalkTalk TV slashes Kids Boost to half price in time for Easter weekend

TalkTalk has cut the price of its Kids Boost to £2.50 for families watching over the Easter weekend. 

The bundle of children’s channels includes the likes of Disney Channel, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon which can be watched live or on demand. 

TalkTalk TV customers who sign up between now and the end of April will be able to get the Kids Boost for £2.50/month for three months instead of the usual £5/month fee. 

What are Boosts? TalkTalk’s TV add-on channels explainedAt its cheapest, TalkTalk TV costs £8.50/month (plus line rental) for the Essentials TV package. This gives you a basic TalkTalk TV box, unlimited ADSL broadband (download speeds up to 17Mbps) and free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines. 

This normally works out at £25.20/month (based on the standard £16.70/month rate for line rental) in total. 

If you want to be able to record shows, you’ll need the TalkTalk TV Plus bundle. This costs £18.50/month plus line rental and gives you a set-top box with a 350GB hard drive, which lets you record up to 200 hours of programmes in SD and 80 hours of HD content. 

You also get seven Sky TV channels included, plus a free TalkTalk Mobile SIM (100 minutes, 250 texts, 200MB) that’s active for 18 months and anytime UK landline minutes. The broadband component of this bundle is the same – unlimited ADSL with download speeds of up to 17Mbps. 

TalkTalk Boosts are extra packs of TV channels that can be added to your TalkTalk TV deal. They’re available on a rolling, monthly basis, which means you can add and remove them at a time that’s convenient for you.

After the summer holidays, you could cancel the Kids Boost and add it again during the half term and Christmas breaks. Similarly, you could cancel Sky Sports on TalkTalk TV during the off-season months and add them again when the next Premier League kicks off
