Hit zombie-based US show The Walking Dead is shuffling and shambling its way to Lovefilm Instant in the UK on an exclusive basis.
The first six-episode series of the award-winning show is available to stream across Lovefilm Instant devices from today with the longer second series due to arrive over the next 18 months.
The show follows Atlanta sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes waking up from a coma to find himself in a post-apocalyptic zombie-dominated world.

This news arrives in advance of the much-anticipated fourth season which premieres on the Fox channel this autumn. Fox is available on Sky, Virgin Media, BT Vision and TalkTalk TV.
So even though Sky Go and Virgin TV Anywhere users will be able to stream The Walking Dead as well, Lovefilm Instant will be the only standalone on-demand service to feature the show. As well as The Walking Dead, Lovefilm Instant has also secured streaming rights to the medieval fantasy epic Vikings on an exclusive basis.
