What isn’t there an Android Sky Sports app?
Earlier this year, Sky told Recombu Digital that there are two factors in the way of it developing an Android tablet app: there aren’t enough Android tablets in use among Sky Sports subscribers; and the fragmented choice of devices and operating systems makes it much harder to develop.
However, Android-using Sky Sports subscribers can at least get live streaming through Sky Go, and non-subscribers can use the Sky Sports TV app. The Sky Sports TV app costs £4.99/month (€5.49 in Ireland) and delivers Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4, Sky Sports F1, ESPN, Sky Sports News, At The Races, and Sky News. It’s available from Google Play and from the iTunes App Store for iPhone/iPod Touch.
