BlackBerry Curve 9350, Curve 9360 and Curve 9370: RIM introduces three new models

RIM has announced a second wave of BB 7 OS-powered smartphones, and they’re all Curves.

Intentionally geared towards customers looking to make the switch from feature to smartphone, “These new models will build on the incredible success of the BlackBerry Curve line and further expand the largest global launch of BlackBerry smartphones in our history,” said Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO at RIM.

“The new BlackBerry Curve smartphones are absolutely stunning and offer a significant performance upgrade with an unmatched mobile social experience for the millions of feature phone users in the market as well as our existing Curve customers.”

All three models will have that thumb-friendly BB keyboard, a five-megapixel camera with support for video-recording. There’s also a microSD slot that will increase the phones’ built-in memory up to 32GB.

With the latest version of the BB OS, adds the likes of NFC support, deeper integration of BlackBerry Messenger, and a zippier web browser. Expect to see the Curve 9360 in the UK; it has the correct radios for here, and has already had a brief preview last month.

We’ve already heard from Vodafone, who also expect to have the Curve 9360 on its release in the UK – but there’s no concrete release date. It’ll arrive on both contracts and pay-as-you-go, and you can expect it to arrive cheaper than the recent Bold 9900.
