Get to grips with Samsung’s Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge from this Saturday

You can test drive a Samsung Galaxy S6 from this very weekend if you go to one of Samsung’s Experience Stores, where the curvy-screened S6 Edge will also be available to fondle.

The company’s newest flagship and its quirky brother, the Galaxy S6 Edge, don’t officially go on sale until April 10th, but Samsung is keen for potential buyers to have a play before potentially placing that pre-order. So from tomorrow (March 14th) you’ll have the chance to mess around with Sammy’s latest flagship if you wander down to one of Samsung’s high street stores.

The fact that Samsung wants people to experience the device shows how confident the Korean company is in its brand new Galaxy. Giving people an early chance to go hands-on is a smart move, and should help sales before rivals like the HTC One M9 go on sale in a few weeks’ time.

The Galaxy S6 is well catered for in the specs department, with an Exynos 7420 octa-core chip powering the show alongside 3GB of RAM. The device will also feature a 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED screen, good for “2K” visuals as well as a 16-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel selfie effort.

The device is missing a couple of features, like a removable battery and a micro SD card, and it’s hard to tell in advance whether the 2,250mAh cell will be good enough to keep up with the device’s lustrous screen, but a new “Ultra” power saving mode and quick-charge functionality should help users get the most out of the device.

Where are Samsung’s Experience Stores?

So, if you’re interested in potentially picking up a Galaxy S6 you’ll have to take a trip to one of Samsung’s nine Experience Stores, which are located in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford, Bristol, Cardiff, Bournemouth or one of the two stores in Newcastle.
