You can now buy phones from Giffgaff

There were rumours a while ago that popular MVNO Giffgaff was due to sell phones to its customers. That information has proven to be true, with Giffgaff silently launching its online phone store today.

The O2 owned network is now selling a healthy mix of smartphones across the spectrum, including 4G LTE enabled devices, as well as cheaper options. Customers can buy any of the phones off-contract and unlocked, or pay a monthly contract. Like O2 Refresh, there’s a choice to pay for a small amount of the phone upfront in exchange for a cheaper monthly contract.

In addition, Giffgaff will be offering multiple contract lengths, ranging from 6 months up to 24 months. It’s good to see the return of the 6 and 12 month contracts – Giffgaff’s range should prove to be relatively flexible, especially with its various Goodybags.

Giffgaff doesn’t have LTE ready to go just yet, but the network has indicated that it’s coming in the future. If you’re willing to take the plunge with O2’s MVNO right now, then you need only visit the online store.
