HTC Explorer coming to Three

Quick off the mark, Three has announced that it’ll be selling the just-announced HTC Explorer budget smartphone. No pricing or availability date was forthcoming from the numeric network, just an announcement that Three will be stocking the plucky little phone.

The HTC Explorer runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be able to make use of ‘most of’ the apps on the the Android Market, according to HTC. There’s a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen and all of the usual HTC accoutrements such as FriendStream (which melds Facebook and Twitter feeds) and new features including a Smart Dialler and an app which monitors your data usage.

Though if you manage to pick up the Explorer on any of Three’s All You Can Eat data plans, you probably won’t need to use this.

Three has also posted a video of the HTC Explorer up on its blog, starring the irrepressible Brendan from Three, who shows off the phone from every angle.

Word on those all important prices and release dates when we get them.
