HTC One S: Hands-on pictures and first impressions

HTC’s One S is their upper mid-range device sporting solid specs including a dual-core processor and a qHD display. That said, the standout features found on the device aren’t about the handset’s internals, it’s all about the design.

Measuring a slim 7.6mm round the waist the One S is very lightweight in the hand. Coming in two versions – ‘ceramic metal’ and ‘gradient metal’ – the HTC One S feels incredible. Despite being a unibody aluminium design, the ceramic metal has been baked with a ceramic material. Rich feeling and losing the cold severe touch of the HTC Sensation or Nokia N8, this is without a doubt HTC’s design trophy in their One series.

We like how much lighter Sense 4.0 looks than 3.5, working on the HTC One S particularly well matching the minimalistic look and feel of the overall handset. Everything therefore comes together pretty incredibly on this high mid-range device and we can’t wait to get one in for review. In the meantime, check out our hands-on below.
