HTC Sensation Special Edition: Now with Beats Audio

HTC appear to be preparing to refresh its flagship Android phone, the HTC Sensation, giving it an all-over rubberised restyle to match the Beats audio technology inside the new phone.

Other changes, according to the document leaked to CNET, include an upgraded 1.5GHz processor, Beats headphones with remote control, and 4GB of internal storage – upgraded from a misery 1GB, and still expandable by microSD.

There could also be a big improvement to the battery-life; upgraded from 1520mAh to 1730mAh. It will match the Sensation’s 4.3-inch qHD screen, and we’d expect HTC’s Sense UI to in attendance, alongside Android Gingerbread (2.3).

HTC announced a partnership with Beats Audio earlier this year, bringing the popular headphone maker’s expertise to audio in tablets and smartphones.

The HTC Sensation Special Edition is currently priced up at jaw-dropping £520 ($847), it’s another steep-priced device from HTC.

HTC is in attendance at IFA; we may see more of this device later this week.
