Kazam wades into Windows with new phones and tablets

British manufacturer Kazam has announced a bunch of new devices ahead of MWC 2015, including some Windows tablets, phones and even one of them old-fangled flip phones.

New Kazam Windows tablets: the L10, L8 and L7

First up is a whole bunch of Windows tablets, the biggest of which is the 10.1-inch Kazam L10. Powered by Intel’s Baytrail Z3735F CPU backed up by 2GB RAM, the L10 also packs 32GB storage and a 7,900mAh battery.

If ten inches is too much to handle, there are two smaller Windows tablets to choose from. The Kazam L8 offers up an 8.1-inch screen, plus the same Intel CPU as its bigger-screened sibling, 1GB RAM and a choice between 16 and 32GB of storage. Lastly there’s the L7, a 7-inch tablet which sports an Intel Baytrail Z3735G CPU, as well as 1GB RAM and 16GB storage.

New Kazam Windows Phone handsets: Thunder 450W and 450WL

Kazam has also launched two new affordable Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones, the Thunder 450W and Thunder 450WL.

The Thunder 450W is a 5-inch handset, packing a quad-core chip and 1GB RAM like most budget blowers. Expect 8GB storage and support for micro SD cards up to 32GB in capacity. It will also offer up an 8-megapixel primary camera, alongside a 2-megapixel secondary offering and a 2,200mAh battery too.

As for the Thunder 450WL, it’s another 5-incher serving up much the same specs as the 450W, but with a roomier 2,500mAh battery and 4G/LTE support thrown in for good measure.

Extra Kazam bonus goodness

Kazam’s also lifted the lid on six new Android-powered “Trooper” devices, the 440L, 450, 451, 450L and 455. The range will be headed by the Trooper 445L though, a 4.5-inch device which features a 1.3GHz MediaTek chip, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage, as well as a microSD slot which is good for another 128GB. The device will also pack a 1,980mAh battery, 4G LTE and a 5-megapixel primary camera.

Bringing up the rear is the company’s Life C6 feature phone which, as you’d expect, doesn’t come with any bells or whistles. It’ll likely be cheap as chips though, and ideal for the blue-haired relative in your life.
