Kicksend will let you share photo albums with anyone privately

There are a ton of different ways to share photos out publicly to the internet, but what if you only want to share a specific album privately? Google+ can get the job done, but it’s not exactly easy, and Facebook’s privacy settings are somewhat of a nightmare these days. Kicksend – a mobile app for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone – seems to have found a better way.

You don’t have to upload pictures to yet another social network. Instead, Kicksend users can share specific albums between themselves. Even if someone doesn’t have Kicksend (your Mom and Dad, perhaps), they’ll receive an email with a link to the photos. The app automatically sorts photos by location and date, allowing people to turn their albums into stories. There are other services that have done similar things, but Kicksend has a nice privacy advantage.

Anyone in the US, Canada, and Mexico can also order prints of their photos online, but the service is restricted to those specific regions for now. Kicksend is available for free on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
