Lenovo IdeaTab S2: Hands-on pictures

If you thought only Megatron could start a fight with a Transformer then think again because the Lenovo IdeaTab S2 is clearly gunning for the Asus Transformer series of tablet PCs.

Comparisons between the Asus Transformer and Transformer Prime and the Lenovo IdeaTab S2 are bound to happen, thanks to the keyboard docks that allow them to function like a regular laptop.

Lenovo’s new IdeaTab S2, as you can see when we got our hands on it in these pictures, is a 10-inch tablet with a dock and a mouse accessory.

Take away those peripherals and switch to using the touchscreen and it’s Lenovo’s thinnest tablet to date at just 0.33-inches thick.

You won’t want to leave that dock behind on long journeys though, as Lenovo claims it offers an extra 10 hours of battery life.

Best of all the Asus IdeaTab S2 will run Ice Cream Sandwich from the get go.
