LG Optimus 4X HD launching in June

We first set out eyes on LG’s Optimus 4X HD at Mobile World Congress and as confirmed, the smartphone will be available in the UK from June.

The LG Optimus 4X HD is the latest smartphone to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich and quad-core technology. LG is pimping this as boasting the biggest battery among its quad-core competitors, with a 2,150 mAh with SiO+ battery technology to match.

The device runs the supremely fast NVIDIA Tegra 3 Processor. A future update for the device is the introduction of an Eco-Mode, putting all of the Tegra 3’s cores in the hands of the user, giving them power to manually shut down to save on battery life – neat.

The LG Optimus 4X HD a whopping 4.7inch True HD IPS display and measures 8.9mm thick. There are two cameras including an 8MP rear-unit with autofocus and LED flash and a 1.3MP front-unit. The device comes with a handy micro-USB socket and MHL for wired video streaming and DLNA for wireless media playback.

The smartphone comes with some pretty cool UX features including Quick Memo, which lets you jot notes over a screen image, and Media Plex, which brings desktop functionality to the smartphones photo and video capabilities. This includes live zooming during video playback and video speed control.
