LG Optimus Pro and Optimus Net go official

LG has finally gone official with the announcement of the LG Optimus Pro, spotted earlier this week and it’s been joined by another, the dryly named Optimus Net.

Both will arrive with Android Gingerbread, the latest version, and their other technical specs match up too, with an 800MHz processor and 1500 mAh.

The Optimus Pro goes up against the likes of the HTC ChaCha and the keenly-priced Orange Barcelona, with a physical QWERTY keyboard and 2.8-inch touchscreen.

Other typical features confirmed for the Optimus Pro include the likes of Bluetooth 3.0, a 3-megapixel camera and FM radio.

The LG Optimus Net concentrates on its touchscreen, larger at 3.2 inches. It’s also been confirmed that the two phones will ship with NFC chips inside- but that’s dependent on the region- no news on whether the UK will be included.

Both the Optimus Net and Pro have a summer release date, but there’s no concrete day or price just yet; the Italian site first to reveal the Pro suggested a competitive sub £160 price-tag, but this hasn’t been confirmed just yet.

But enough guessing. Let’s enjoy LG Italy’s video preview of the Optimus Net!
