LG Prada K2 phone caught on video: Return of the catwalk queen?

Remember the LG Prada? A phone with a capacitve screen that was out before the first iPhone? Aside from that notable distinction, the LG Prada was more of a design item than a killer bit of hardware though it did turn some heads back in the day. After a good-but-not-great follow up with the Prada 2, it all but looked like curtains for the Korean-Italian partnership.

However it looks like LG and Prada have kissed and made up. This ten second clip which we spotted on Pocketnow, is apparently a shot of what’s being called the LG Prada K2, in the wild.

It’s a pretty blurry and unrevealing clip, not really showing us any hint of the Prada K2’s rumoured specs: 9mm thick body, 4.3-inch NOVA display, 8-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facer, 16GB of memory and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

That’s some pretty respectable specs there, if they’re genuine. No word on whether it’ll be dual-core or not, but we’d hope for at least a 1GHz chip (dual-core or otherwise) in there.

We first heard rumours of a Android-powered sequel to the LG Prada 2, the ‘Prada III’ as far back as two years ago. It’s sure taken a long time for blurrycam pics to surface.

LG remained tight lipped when we spoke to them, not commenting on “rumour and speculation”.
