Motorola has updated its 2011 flip phone and through the magic of marketing the Gleam has become the Motorola Gleam+.
The addition of that plus symbol doesn’t mean the handset has put on any extra weight, though – in fact at 107mm x 52.5mm x 13.5mm it’s actually 0.4mm thinner.
The slimmer version has even managed to pack in some extra features, with the clamshell now boasting a full HTML browser and additional storage for your phonebook and text messages.
The device has a 2.8-inch WQVGA (400 x 240) screen and the outer LED matrix also displays notifications and alerts so you never miss a call or message.
Talk time is up to four hours and 49 minutes, while standby lasts up to 417 hours and 26 minutes.
Standard features include: 2-megapixel fixed focus, digital zoom camera; video recording (onto a microSD card, with the memory expandable up to 16GB); FM radio; and MP3 playback. No WiFi, mind.
The Motorola Gleam+ is available now in the UK, free with a £10 a month contract from Tesco Mobile.
