My Taptu for Android: All of your favourite blogs on your phone in one app

My Taptu is a nifty new news reader app that works in a similar way to Pulse. My Taptu aggregates info from RSS and Twitter feeds as well as Facebook and LinkedIn profiles, displaying everything in one easy to browse stream.

As well as adding streams yourself by manually searching for them you can also choose from a number of categories including Celebrities, Tech & Gadgets, Business and one entitled Lolz. Thankfully if you want to show off the app to your more serious friends and colleagues you can organise your stream so that lolcat pictures won’t show up next to the Financial Times.

Using the share control you can post links to stories to your friends Facebook profiles, Tweet them or email links to yourself for later viewing on your desktop.

One other thing that’s really cool about My Taptu is that you can add more streams – up to 200 – than you can on the Pulse app, which allows you to add up to 20.

We’ve tested this out on our Nexus One and it works a treat – we’re looking forwards to seeing it in action on a Galaxy Tab.

My Taptu for Android is free to download from the Android Market now. We understand that the iPhone version is ready and is due to arrive in the App Store soon.
