Nokia Robot built from old handsets appears in China

This awesomely casual ‘robot’ is made completely of old mobile handsets. Sat in Beijing, Nokia shops in China are exchanging old phone for cinema tickets promoting low-carbon lifestyle changes, recycling, and all that stuff that Finnish people are often very good at.

Nokia says that it’ll recycle all the phones donated. Nokia may have had a rough time recently, but continues to lead on green and sustainability issues. If it mean’s more awesome robots that look like Power Rangers, we’re in.

Recently, O2 announced its top eco-friendly handsets, and the top spots were dominated by Nokia.

Other innovations include a cycle charger by Nokia that uses a dynamo to charge your phone as you pedal.
