Twitter has updated its iOS and Android apps to include refined search controls. TechCrunch reports that Twitter users can now search explicitly for pictures, videos, new stories, and people. Better yet, Twitter has introduced a local search filter – that could prove to be useful for those hoping to stay up to date on anything happening in their area. Finally, trending TV shows will appear in the Discover tab, although they won’t be as prominently displayed as other content. The update is already rolling out to the App and Play Store.
