Nokia Lumia 900 confirmed for US

Less than six months after the Nokia Lumia 800 arrived on the scene, Nokia goes and unveils the follow up, the Lumia 900. Like the Lumia 800 (nee ‘Sea Ray’) the Lumia 900 was something of a poorly-kept secret, appearing in an employee’s Christmas card and leaked press renders a like.

But it’s all out-of-the-bag and official now. The main spec is as follows; LTE compatibility, a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen with 800 x 480 WVGA resolution, 8-megapixel main camera with dual LED flash with an 28mm f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens and a front-facing camera

Constructed from polycarbonate, the styling is quite similar to the Nokia Lumia 800 and comes in the same cyan and black, but sadly not red.

16GB of internal memory comes built in but, as this is Windows Phone, this can’t be bulked out any further with microSD cards.

On-board apps include Nokia Drive, ESPN Sports Hub, CNN for Windows Phone and Univision.

At the moment, the Nokia Lumia 900 will launch in North America on AT&T. There’s not yet word on which (if any) UK networks will be picking this up.  Considering the Lumia 800 has only just launched in the UK we can’t imagine Nokia will release it just yet. We’ll update you as we hear more, but it’s good to finally draw a line under what’s been months and months of speculation.
