10 celebs named for BBC One’s Tumble

BBC One has announced the 10 celebrities set to compete in a new gymnastics reality show, Tumble.

Jamaican born exercise instructor Mr Motivator, former Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and Dynasty star Emma Samms are among the stars set to take part.

Let's get ready to Tumble.

Also taking part are super-middleweight boxing champion Carl Froch, Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and former EastEnders actor John Partridge.

The show will see celebrities learning gymnastic skills from accomplished athletes during six weeks of live television shows.

The challenges involved will include tumbling, double trapeze, acrobatic gymnastics and trampolining, with contestants trying to win the public’s votes in order to avoid being voted out.

Judging the contestants will be Olympic gymnast Nadia Comaneci, former Team GB gymnastics captain Craig Heap, cirque artist Sebastien Stella and London 2012 medallist Louis Smith.

Smith is a veteran of reality TV having previously triumphed in 2012 on Strictly Come Dancing.

The show will be hosted by Alex Jones, who has also presented The One Show since August 2010. The contestants will be mentored by three-time Olympian Beth Tweddle, who earned a bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.

Rival broadcaster ITV has recently enjoyed success with its own athletics themed reality TV show – Splash! – which featured Team GB diver Tom Daley.
