Amazon pushes Transparent season 2 launch date back to December 11

The second season of Transparent will now kick off on December 11, a week later than planned. 

Amazon has given no reason for why the next run of its exclusive drama has been delayed but it has launched a new trailer, giving fans of the Golden Globe-winning show a taste of what’s in store. 

Read our reviews of the new Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV StickTransparent will continue to follow Jeffrey Tambor as Maura Pfefferman, a transgender college professor who comes out to her family. The show also stars Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker and Jay Duplass as members of the Pfefferman clan and is penned and co-directed by Six Feet Under creator Jill Soloway. 

The show show is something of a jewel in the Amazon content crown, being the first Amazon series to win a Golden Globe. It’s also made TV history by being the first ever streaming show to win that accolade. 

Prime Instant Video costs £5.99/month and is also included free with a £79/year Amazon Prime subscription.
