Best of Brazilian football and entertainment lands in TalkTalk’s latest TV Boost

If the World Cup has given you a taste for South America’s largest country, or you’re a Brazilian in the UK, TalkTalk has a new set of streaming TV channels for you.

The Brazilian TV Boost costs £15/month and provides Globo, a best-of-Brazilian TV channel, and dedicated football channel PFC.

All you’ll need is TalkTalk’s Essential TV (£8.50/month) or Plus TV (£18.50/month), both of which come with unlimited broadband and inclusive UK phone calls.

Globo’s Raphael Corrêa Netto said: “We’re very happy with this partnership with TalkTalk. We know that there’re a lot of Brazilians spread all over UK and we’re delighted to offer Brazilian entertainment, sports and news to their daily lives.”

Popular shows on Globo include Domingão do Faustão and the new hit telenovela, Império – if you’ve never seen a telenovela then be warned, they’re dangerously addictive dramas.

PFC shows the best of Brazil Série A matches, hosted by renowned sports journalists, with shows including SporTV News, Redação, Bem, Amigos!, É Gol! and SporTV Repórter.

Henrik Karlberg at TalkTalk said: “We’re excited to be offering even more fantastic World channels to TalkTalk TV customers.

“For customers that are missing the World Cup they can tune into our Brazilian Boost which offers the best of Brazilian football all year round as well as hit entertainment shows and news 24/7. PFC and Globo are great additions to our flexible monthly boosts and allow customers to dip in and out of their favourite shows from home or afar.”

The Brazilian Boost is the latest addition from TalkTalk’s partnership with THEMA, which has also brought channels from west Africa, Bollywood, the Arab world, South Africa and Japan.

As with all TalkTalk TV Boosts, there’s a rolling monthly subscription so you can pick up and cancel at any time, and the Essentials TV and Plus TV boxes come with full Freeview HD and YouView functions like catch-up from the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand Five.
