How to watch the Oscars 2016: TalkTalk TV cuts Sky Movies bundle down to £5/month

TalkTalk TV customers can watch the Oscars for less this year, as it’s slashing the cost of Sky Movies down to £5/month instead of the usual £15. 

Ahead of the 88th Academy Awards, Sky’s launched a bespoke channel Sky Movies Oscars, which will be screening over 140 movies between now and March 6.

Related: How to watch the Oscars in the UK: Online and on TV, What are TalkTalk Boosts?As well as this, Sky Movies Oscars (channel 540) is also home to a live broadcast of the Oscars ceremony this Sunday, February 28. 

TalkTalk customers with the Essentials (£7.50/month plus line rental) or Plus TV (£15/month plus line rental) bundles will also be able to watch entertainment channel E! (321) for free over the weekend. Sky Living (channel 303) free with Plus TV and available to Essentials customers for an extra £10/month as part of the Entertainment Boost, will also broadcast Oscars highlights from 10pm on Monday, February 29 onwards. 

As well as this, TalkTalk’s also launched its own ‘Award Season’ collection, which sees Oscar-nominated movies including The Martian, Inside Out, Mad Max: Fury Road along with previous winners including 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and The Imitation Game available to rent for £3.45 a throw. 

The 88th Academy Awards ceremony officially kicks off at 8:30pm EST – which is 1:30am UK time – on Sunday, but an hour and a half before, stars and celebrities will start hitting the red carpet. In other words, unless you’ve already booked the Monday off work, you’re going to have to get on the black coffee should you pull an all nighter.
