ITV Player hits Amazon Fire TV ahead of ITV Hub rebrand

Catch-up service ITV Player is rolling out to Amazon’s Fire TV devices now, ahead of the launch of ITV Hub.

From the original Fire TV model and the cheap-as-chips Fire TV Sticks to the new 4K-toting Fire TV box, you’ll be able to stream Rugby World Cup matches as well as the likes of The X Factor, Downton Abbey, Emmerdale and other favourites.

“Amazon Fire TV devices showcase our content brilliantly, and gives our users another great way to access their favourite shows, so we are happy to extend our reach on to this new platform.”

While you would have been able to access plenty of ITV content on Fire TV through the excellent TVPlayer app, the arrival of ITV Player on Amazon’s Fire devices rolls out the red carpet for the eventual arrival of ITV Hub

Details on ITV Hub are thin on the ground right now but what we do know is that it promises an easier to navigate interface as well as a one-stop shop for new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad!

As well as ITV Player, you can also access Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Prime Instant Video, Curzon Home Cinema, Sky News and YouTube on Fire TV devices.
