MTV is jumping on the on-demand bandwagon in the UK, having launched a new portal on it’s UK website.
The site, live now, can be found at od.mtv.co.uk. £2 gets you 24 hours access, to shows such as Geordie Shore, Beavis and Butthead and 16 And Pregnant, while £3 gets you the whole week – sounds like hotel Wi-Fi prices to us.
This works out at £12 a month, if you want to measure it against the on-demand services of Virgin Media and BT Vision.
As well as access to archived shows, the od.mtv.co.uk site also acts as a catch-up service for the week’s programming.
While you might not want to be dipping so far into your wallet every month, throwing £3 at your monitor might be a good way to keep yourself (or your adolescent spogs) amused for a while

We also understand that MTV’s on-demand platform will be coming to tablets later this year.
Seeing as MTV’s desktop site uses Adobe Flash Player, it technically ought to work on Android tablets right now, through the browser. While we’ve not tested it out on a tablet ourselves yet, we got it working on our trusty Samsung Galaxy S2.
