Now TV celebrates Walking Dead season 5 launch with brain popcorn competition

It’s not quite Hallowe’en yet, but that hasn’t stopped Now TV from launching a limited edition Walking Dead-themed Now TV Box

The blood-encrusted Now TV Box comes with a zombie-themed popcorn bucket filled to the brim with pinkish popcorn, something which Sky is calling ‘brain food.’

This rather distasteful vessel has been modelled on a Walker from the series and has been created to celebrate the season 4 of The Walking Dead landing on Now TV on 1 October, with season 5 launching shortly after on October 13 at 9pm on Fox.

Gidon Katz, Director of Now TV said: “We know The Walking Dead is hugely popular and with season 5 on its way, it was a no brainer for Now TV to create the ultimate snack-cessory for fans that are dying to relive or discover seasons 1-4. Tucking into popcorn from the Brain Food Popcorn Bowl is the perfect way for people to keep their energy levels up as they gorge on all of the Walker action on Now TV.”

Competition winners will also nab a free Entertainment Month Pass, currently priced at £4.99/month.

The Walking Dead will be one of the shows you can catch up on with Now TV’s Entertainment Month Pass that will allow you to watch the series and others favourites on the new package.

Other shows that will air as part of the monthly subscription include the fifth and final series of Boardwalk Empire (Sky Atlantic) and Legends (Sky 1) as well as box sets of Lost, The West Wing, Mad Men and Hannibal

Now TV will be running contests on Twitter, giving its customers the chance to win these vile objects. Details on how to enter and win aren’t clear yet – we’re told that all will be explained by Now TV’s Twitter account in the coming weeks.

Now TV’s Entertainment Month Pass will cost £4.99/month until October 16, when the cost will go up to £6.99/month.
