Sky’s new European football channel Sky Sports 5 is kicking its way to TalkTalk TV subscribers next month.
The new sports channel will arrive on TalkTalk TV in time for the UEFA Super Cup final on August 12, and will be available for no extra cost with the Sky Sports Boost channel pack.
As well as the Real Madrid vs Sevilla match, Sky Sports 5 will include 18 UEFA Champions League games, 24 UEFA Euro 2016 – with the non-UK games exclusive to Sky Sports – as well as weekend coverage of Spanish La Liga games and up to three games a week from Eredivisie, the Dutch premier league.
On top of bagging Sky Sports 5, TalkTalk has been able to secure the rights to offer Sky Sports Box Office, which will let TalkTalk TV watch boxing and wrestling events on a pay per view basis. TalkTalk TV customers will also be able to access catch-up and on-demand Sky Sports content.
Managing director consumer for TalkTalk Tristia Harrison said: “As TalkTalk TV goes from strength to strength, we are delighted to have expanded our partnership with Sky even further.
“Our customers love the ability to dip in and out of the TV they love and this new agreement means we can continue to offer the flexible access to great content we are fast becoming famous for.”
TalkTalk TV susbcribers will also be able to pick up Sky Sports 4 – or Sky Sports Ryder Cup as it’ll be known this autumn – as well as tune into the Barclays Premier League action on Sky Sports 1.
Sky Sports on TalkTalk TV currently cost £30/month on top of the Essentials TV and Plus TV packages.
Essentials TV, TalkTalk’s entry-level TV and broadband bundle, normally costs £8.50/month plus £15.95/month for line rental.
The Plus TV, which comes with Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Sports News as standard and costs £18.50/month plus line rental.
