Sky Sports for iPad 360 update adds goal line camera plus 20 angles

The Sky Sports iPad app has just updated, adding multiple camera angle feeds to live games, letting you see what the linesmen sometimes can’t.

Making use of EVS’ C-Cast second-screen delivery platform, the new app lets you review goals in slow motion from over 20 different angles.

This is a huge update for sports fans and does for live football what the Sky Sports F1 iPad app did for live Formula 1.

David Gibbs, Director of Sky Sports Digital Media, said: “This is great news for the Sky Sports for iPad app, which keeps getting better and better. This is about putting the technology into the hands of the viewer and allowing them to recapture the big moments in the final. It’s the first time we’ve offered this through our app and it’s another example of our investment in the Sky Sports viewer’s experience.”

The Sky Sports for iPad app is free for all customers who take the Sky Sports 1 and 2 packages. For non-subscribers, the app can be purchased for £4.99/month via in-app purchases, but doesn’t provide access to content shown on Sky Sports 3, 4 or Sky Sports F1.
