Half term respite for parents with TalkTalk’s half price Kids Boost

TalkTalk is offering its Kids Boost and Entertainment Extra Boost for free this weekend to help kick half term off.

The idea is that there’ll be enough content to keep the kids happy during the day while the parents can chill out in the evenings. Channels included in the Kids Boost (normally £5/month) are Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and 12 others, plus 800 episodes of on demand shows.

Shows include Adventure Time (pictured) and Uncle Grandpa plus old classics Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo

The Entertainment Extra Boost (normally £15/month) gives you channels including Fox, Comedy Central, homes of The Walking Dead and South Park respectively plus Watch, Universal Channel, Discovery Real Time, Animal Planet, National Geographic.

After the free weekend taster, the bundles are half price if you sign up over the week, meaning you can keep everyone entertained for just £2.50/month for the Kids Boost and £7.50/month for Entertainment Extra.

A TalkTalk spokesperson said: “TalkTalk champions flexible TV and believes families should be able to dip in and out of the TV they love that’s why it has introduced Taster Weekends.

“This Taster weekend follows the success of its Disney Taster weekends and Sky Sports Day pass which gave homes access to more shows at no extra cost to ensure its customers are entertained and not out of pocket.”

TalkTalk is also offering its Essentials TV package half price for the next six months at £4.25/month and £8.50 thereafter. For those who want a little extra, including Sky channels and a YouView box, the Plus TV package costs £9.25/month for six months and then goes up to £18.50/month with line rental (£15.95/month) on top.

You can add a number of different Boosts as add-ons, whether you’re a sports fan, film buff, want to watch the music channels or a bit of everything with the Entertainment Extra Boost, costing between £5/month and £40/month for Sky Sports and Sky Movies channels.
