The second season of The Tunnel will see Clarke Peters, aka Lester from The Wire, and Emilia Fox of Silent Witness fame joining the cast.

While we still don’t have a launch date for the first episode, we now know that the eight part series is due to kick off in April. While the first season was largely a faithful remake of the Scandinavian source material, season two of The Tunnel, subtitled Sabotage, diverges greatly from the source material.

Sky’s promising a ‘completely original, intricately plotted story’, this time around, with the story kicked off by a passenger plane crashing into the Channel and the abduction of a French couple on the tunnel.

The Tunnel will be once again broadcast on Sky Atlantic, which is available to both Sky TV and Now TV subscribers. As well as broadcasted and streamed weekly episodes, customers will be able to catch up via Sky Box Sets.
