Virgin Media’s Karaoke Kev call centre worker goes viral, saves customer with Aerosmith

A Virgin Media call centre worker managed to keep a customer sweet by serenading him with an Aerosmith number.

Normally when you go to cancel your broadband, ISPs offer all kinds of deals to keep you on but one Virgin Media worker known as ‘Kevin’ went the extra mile, singing the US rockers’ 1998 weepy power ballad ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ down the phone to a customer.

A clip of the programme has since been uploaded to the station’s Facebook page where it’s since been viewed over 10,000 times.

As well as providing Capital North East listeners with a laugh, Karaoke Kev managed to save the day for Virgin Media too. So moved was Bodg by Kevin’s rendition that he decided to stay on with the cable company after all.

Call centre workers everywhere now must up their game. If you can’t sing me a note-perfect cover of ‘Red Barchetta’ when I call up to cancel, my money is going elsewhere.

You can listen to Karaoke Kev signing ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ here.

What happened to Bodg when he called Virgin Media to cancel his account is epic!
