Vodafone Connect: How can I get it?

Vodafone Connect, Vodafone’s new broadband and home phone service, is launching today. But how can you get it?

As of now, only Vodafone mobile customers will be able to order the service but by the end of the summer the doors will be thrown open to everyone.

We’ve since been able to get more information on Vodafone Connect from Cindy Rose, Vodafone UK’s consumer director, who told us that Vodafone Connect will first launch in Manchester, Surrey and Berkshire ahead of a greater UK-wide launch later in the year. ‘By the end of summer’ is the only ETA we have at present.

Rose said that Vodafone had passed 20 million premises already and will be able to launch superfast services in 22 million later in the summer, which is more or less the length and breadth of BT’s current superfast FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) footprint.

Vodafone has also ruled out selling FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) services via BT’s Openreach network, at least for the time being.

A new call centre in Glasgow is being set up specifically to help new customers move to Vodafone Connect. By the end of the year, anyone, regardless of whether or not they’re Vodafone mobile customers will be able to sign up for Vodafone Connect online, on the phone or through any of Vodafone’s 500 UK stores.

Until then, here’s how much you can expect to pay for Vodafone Connect when it comes to your area.
